About

Evidence, not estimates.

Praxes makes a narrower promise than most consultancies: we will read what your distributors publish, link every claim to the page it came from, and tell you plainly which questions this method cannot answer.

Story

How we got here.

We started out doing automation assessments — walking floors, timing processes, and building the financial case for whether a piece of equipment would pay for itself. The discipline that work demanded turned out to be the whole business: measure first, model the return conservatively, and be willing to say the investment isn't worth it.

What kept appearing in manufacturers who sell through distributors was a different shape of problem. The information was not missing. It was published — on the websites of the distributors they funded, in catalogs anyone could open, listing the rival brands sitting in their categories. Nobody upstream had read any of it, because reading it means working through tens of thousands of listings across dozens of domains, and no channel team has a week to spend that way.

Meanwhile the tools being sold into that gap were confident where they should have been careful. Modelled market share, estimated coverage, a dashboard with no source under any number. A confident figure a distributor can contradict by opening their own website is worse than no figure, because it costs your rep the meeting.

Praxes exists to close that gap the careful way. We bring the same method every time: establish what each domain is before extracting anything, harvest only what is published, resolve part numbers to real manufacturers, store the source URL and a verbatim quote for every value, and state the limits of the method before a client finds them. It is ordinary engineering discipline applied to a field that currently runs on estimates.

Praxes is the Greek for practice: action informed by theory rather than theory on its own. That is roughly the whole point.

Team

Who does the work.

Three people, each responsible for a different part of the answer. You will be talking to us directly, not to an account manager.

How we think

Four commitments.

Evidence, or it does not ship

Every value we report carries the source URL and a verbatim quote from the page it came from. No estimates, no modelled share, no dashboard without a source. A number your distributor can contradict by opening their own website costs your rep the meeting.

We name the ceiling first

This measures what distributors publish, not what they sell. Not order volume, not content behind a dealer login, not prices nobody posts. We say that before an engagement rather than when a client finds it — naming the limit is what makes the rest credible.

Public pages, and nothing else

One request per second, robots.txt respected, dealer logins left alone. A gated distributor is reported as gated with a recommendation for manual review, never worked around and never counted as an empty catalog.

Your channel data is yours

Your distributor list, your categories, your competitor universe and your reports stay confidential and are not sold on. The only thing we build across clients is the interchange database of tables distributors publish themselves.
